I currently am tutoring a native Spanish speaker who had no English in the beginning. She wanted to be able to communicate with her kid's teachers, doctors and the usual people that one runs into every day. Her kids proudly call her English speaking.

About
I lived in Los Angeles California for many years and was a literacy tutor there for five years. I moved to Oregon in 2002 and have been a literacy tutor here for seven years. I have tutored many Spanish-speaking students both face-to-face and online with successful results.

Teaching Approach
A tutor is a coach. I let the student lead the way and come up with a plan that best suits them. The plan can change as the student becomes more proficient. I believe that the best learning environment is a comfortable one.
