About Tutor

My name is Sindy Lorena Calderon. I have two beatiful children amd a great family. Ilove spending time with them, reading books, learningnew things and of course teaching is included among these things I love to do.


I hace worked as a language teacher for almost ten years. I atarted in kindergarte, teaching little kids. And during these years I have workedin different schools with different grades and children of different ages. I have worked as a personalized tutor too.

I encourage people (kids teenagers and adults) to learn Spanish. I think it is possible to learn this beautiful language using the right strategies accoding to the level of each student. I am a native speaker of this language, as I said before I am from Bogot√°, Colombia and my accent is so good. I can help you to gain confidence to speak this language so fast. I think with discipline, enthusiasm, and suitabke methodologie, students of a second language can achieve their goals. I invite you to learn it with me.

Teaching Approach

In my classes I like to include different methodologies and strategies in order to help each student feel more confident to speak a new language. I also include images which are very useful to learn a new vocabulary. As we know, it is easier for the brain to remember new things when it eelates a word with an image.
On the other hand I like to include games, readings and conversationss suitable for the student's level.

For this reason I don't apply just one approach. I think it is necessary to mix some of them to accomplish the target, and take into account the level and the age of each student to apply the best ones.
