Many of my students have been young professionals looking to communicate efficiently in a work environment. I will help you to build vocabulary that is formal and appropriate to the work that you do!
Conversational English
I have taught many students from all over the world how to hold a thoughtful conversation. I give you tips, phrases and ways to keep the conversation going and also teach phrasal verbs and idioms to help you understand and sound more like a native speaker!
Working with English people
Many of my students work in companies which are based in America or in England and they need to know how best to communicate with these native speakers. I have helped many students to develop their language by teaching phrases and common vocabulary heard in the work place.
Having English friends
One of my favorite parts of the English language is teaching phrases, idioms and colloquialisms. If you want to sound comfortable and natural with native speakers , I will show you how!
Reading and writing English
My passion is reading and writing and I love to help students communicate and effectively understand the written word. If you are interested in writing and reading in English I will share with you many different texts and provide you with writing prompts which will allow you to communicate your thoughts, feelings and ideas in the best way possible.
English lifestyle and culture
Culture and lifestyle is something I am very interested in. I love sharing discussions with my students about popular culture, technology, how things are different in their country as opposed to English speaking countries. There are endless topics to discuss and I believe this is one of the best ways to build your language skills!
About
I am an artist, writer and educator from Vancouver, Canada. Education has been the focus of my life for the past decade and I am passionate about learning as well as teaching.
I never planned to become a teacher, but when I took a summer job tutoring ESL students I felt like it was the perfect fit for me!
After that I went on to complete my degree in Visual Arts, I acquired my yoga teaching certificate as well as my TESOL certification and I've been teaching ever since.
In 2017 I developed and designed a program that provides art education to low income children around the world, this combines my love of art and teaching.
These days I spend most of my time teaching, writing or enjoying nature.

Experience
I have been teaching English for nine years both as a one on one tutor and in a classroom with many students.
My strength is in my varied experience, I've taught beginners all the way up to advanced university level English from ages two to seventy.
Currently I teach English online to students all around the world who are developing their ability to communicate efficiently and effectively.
Teaching Approach
The most important aspect of teaching for me is to ensure that my students feel comfortable. I prioritize patience and understanding in my lessons and I also make sure that my students are having fun. I believe that the best kind of learning happens when we're enjoying ourselves.
I also take into consideration each student's learning style and how they might learn best. We all understand and learn in many different ways and it is important to me that you feel you are learning in the way that suits you best.
In a lesson with me you can expect to learn a lot and also laugh a lot too!
