I have taught English as a foreign language to students from age 3 to adults.
English for beginners
Teaching English as a foreign language in Vietnam allowed me to gain experience teaching all different levels, especially beginners.
Conversational English
Teaching adults English as a foreign language using the "American English File" textbook allowed for students to have discussions based around the topics in the book as well as venture off into topics about situations that have to do with their daily lives.

When I finished high school, I travelled around Australia where I had to ask many people directions and questions regarding the activities I wanted to do.

Because I live in South Africa, a country where English is an official language, I have worked with many English speaking language.

Most of my friends are English speaking.
Reading and writing English
I really enjoy reading English books, especially crime and thriller novels.
Understanding English movies
I enjoy watching movies and series and all of them are English. My favourite show to watch is Friends.
English lifestyle and culture
All the members in my family speak English as their first language and we live a very active lifestyle which includes going to the beach, spending Time with friends and family and doing outdoor activities such as bike riding and playing tennis.
About
I am 23-years-old and recently returned back to South Africa after living and teaching English as a foreign language in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I have completed a 120-hour TEFL course as well as three early childhood development certificates. I studied a degree of Brand Management at Vega School of Branding in Umhlanga, South Africa. I am hard working with strong organisational and communication skills that I believe are very important when teaching, especially a second language. I work well with people and I would love the opportunity to gain more experience in the teaching world. I live on a property which works as a wedding venue so we have a fully equipped generator which means that I would always be available to work without any interruptions such as power cuts.

Teaching English as a Foreign Language
VUS (Vietnam USA Society English Centers)
I worked as an English teacher at VUS, teaching a wide range of ages, from young learners to adults. At VUS, I gained experience teaching English as a foreign language, as well as classroom management skills and greater communication skills. This is where I grew my love for teaching and helping students grow in confidence and skills.
Nguyen Van Troi School
I worked as an English teacher at Nguyen Van Troi School, teaching Mathematics and Science to Grade 2 and 5 students. At this school, I was made to teach large classes of about 35-40 students which allowed me to improve on my classroom management skills as well as explore more interesting methods of teaching for students which allowed them to have a much better learning experience.
Teaching Approach
I believe that students learn to the best of their ability when they are feel comfortable in their learning environment. I like students to think that they are able to ask questions whenever they may need without feeling frightened or shy, so to achieve this I use a variety of different games and interactive activities to make the students feel comfortable.
