I have been teaching young learner online for over 5 years and i use a combination of teacher-centered and interactive class to help them appreciate and practice the information.
English for beginners
I mainly use visual cues and phonetic to build basic vocabulary.
Conversational English
I use the interactive approach, my job is to ask the questions and allow the student to express himself, so I can note and make needed corrections.

I have had in class experience teaching inside the classroom at the elementary level, also I have acted as a teachers assistant for a local high school. Since then I have dedicated my time and resources to teaching online, I have been doing so successfully for the last 5 years.

Teaching Approach
For a successful classroom experience, I use several techniques including:
Teacher-centered where I help my students to see that they can trust the information I am presenting to them, allowing them to build confidence in the material, while I have them contribute to the lesson material via examples or experiences. Personally, this gives relatable practical cases they can connect to the lesson. When taking this approach my class becomes more interactive permitting the learner to express themselves especially since English is a language that requires practice.
Further, I use the collaborative and indirect approach, simply put the approach chosen often depend on the learning style of my students.
