About

Good day, my name is Charlene Williams and I am currently living in East London, South Africa.
I am 36 year old.
I have recently completed my TEFL course at the East London Language Institute. I hope to teach foreign students English as their second language.
I matriculated in 2000 with English as a first language. I also played sports my whole career, tennis, netball and athletics.
I have extensive working experience with foreigners as I used to be in the hotel & restaurant industry for many years, and one of my main tasks were training staff at these establishments.
I am very conscientious teacher who prepares lessons and I enjoy having fun in the classroom with my students.
I am highly motivated and experienced.
I have excellent admin skills, thorough knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs, and proficiency in multi-tasking and extensive experience liaising with clients.
I am fully committed to starting my career on a full-time basis teaching English as a second language to students in different age groups.

    Experience

TEFL Certified teacher, seeking a teaching position in Canada. Extensive experience teaching children and adults. Experienced and driven English teacher with an impressive background of managing hotels and restaurants while providing training to waitering staff.

I view teaching as a service, and my management experience at Grazia Fine Food and Wine has developed in me invaluable teaching skills. Running training sessions has improved my leadership abilities, while supervising a multicultural staff has helped me to communicate with all types of people. These skills, along with my creative approach to language education, make me a strong candidate for the position of an English teacher to foreign learners.

Teaching Approach

PPP (presentation, practice and production): Students are exposed to lots of listening and the teacher will emphasise certain language items in a relaxed manner.
