Conversational English

English for traveling

Working with English people

I've been running English corners for years helping people improve their conversational English.

Having English friends

Teaching essential travel English was an important part of the English course I taught on for 3 years.

Reading and writing English

Communicating cross culturally has been the main subject I have focused on will my students for the last 3 years.

Understanding English movies

I have been "the English friend" for over 7 years and I understand what can help build better friendships with native English speakers.

English lifestyle and culture

Reading and writing are favourite pastimes of mine and I have helped many of my students reach higher levels in both areas over the years.

Marrying a native English

I love movies and looking into the deeper meaning in films. I enjoy discussing the things that influenced the directors and writers.

About Tutor

I love learning new things and going to new places. For the past 7 and a half years I have lived in China where I learned Mandarin and began my English teaching career. I love photography, travel, music, and food. I now live in Australia where I am involved with English corners and am learning new skills.

Experience

I got my TESOL in 2015 and began teaching Chinese students in an English training course. In my 7+ years in China I helped run English corners and tutor several people.

Teaching Approach

I like to get my students speaking, writing, and using what they learn right away. I like to find what my students do well and maximize their strengths. Having learned to speak, read, and write a second language at a high level myself I understand the challenges my students are facing. I also know that together we can overcome those challenges and see real progress.
