About
My name is Stefanie Rivas and I am from West Palm Beach, Florida. I am fluent in English and Spanish. I enjoy working with children, and helping them grow in their English knowledge and being part in their English journey. I believe English should be both fun and educational.

Experience
I am a Full-time volunteer Mentor for English and Spanish speakers where I provide one-on-one private at home classes, teach students how to read and write according to their level of proficiency. I am also a English and Spanish Interpreter for foreign services where I provide a number of different services ranging from translation services for travel agencies, financial companies, as well as day-to-day tasks.
Teaching Approach
I believe every teaching approach should vary depending of the level of proficiency of each student. The teaching methods I use, however, are Student-Centered Discussions where I encourage all my students to express themselves freely. I also like the approach of Making Connections, which helps in building a relationship with my students, and lastly, I also use the Self-learning approach which I allow my students to attempt to control the flow of their experience and then provide them with the necessary correction after.
