About Tutor

Hi, my name is Kasey Medina. I live in the Caribbean. I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I have been trained to teach people about the bible and this has greatly improved my teaching Math and English to my students. I volunteer seventy (70) hours on average per month and I believe that teaching online would make my schedule a lot more flexible as I travel a lot. I am excited to work for your company, I think I would be a great asset. I am punctual, reliable and determined to do my best. Where I live many Chinese and Venezuelans have been migrating, I have seen how hard it is for them, the struggle to learn English and thrive in a different part of the world. I want to help people reduce their struggle.

Experience

I have been teaching English privately for three (3) years now to high school and primary school students. I prepare my high school students for an exam called CSEC, all my students have excelled!
Currently, I teach an English Class to two (2) Venezuelan Migrants who live nearby.
I am also an artsit, I paint watercolor and accrylic paintings and sell them at an art gallery near to the airport.

Teaching Approach

My teaching approach is quite simple. I start with an introduction, the student will be able to say a bit about himself. Verbs, Grammar and Vocabulary will follow. My students will be able to formulate sentences in their head within a short period of time and they will be learning to write what they say, their reading and writing skills will begin at the same time. Students must realize their progress to feel accomplished.
