About

I am a father of three daughters. I was born and raised in New Jersey, USA. However, I have been living in the Philippines since 2005. The reason I live here is because this is where my daughters live.

I assure you I am a native English speaker and a natural born USA citizen.

    Experience

I have been teaching English for ten years. I have been doing it online since 2010.

I have also taught IELTS and TOEFL exam preparation since 2011.

I have a vast array of other experience. In addition to teaching, I have worked in the aviation and IT industries, as well. Lastly, I have worked as a recruiter, so I am very good at teaching interview preparation, resume creation/editing and job search techniques.

I have taught a wide variety of students from many different countries, including:
China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Russia, Turkey and several European countries.

    I possess a 120-hour TESOL certification.

Simply put, I have a wealth of experience that makes me

Teaching Approach

Every student is unique. As a result, I approach every student differently. For example,I would not teach a 14-year old boy the same way that I would a 47-year old man. For that matter, I would not teach two separate 14-year old boys the same way. They are different people with different skill levels, abilities, goals and motivation. So, they need to be taught differently. I recognize this and I make it a core tenet of my teaching philosophy.
