Hello!
My name is Alura and I am from New York! I went to university in Portland, Oregon and then decided to start travelling. In the past few years I have lived in Spain, England, France, and am now based in Argentina. When I am not teaching, I like to play sports and watch series on Netflix. I also love meeting new people.

Experience
I started teaching English when moved to Spain in 2016. I have worked as a private tutor for really young children (ages 3-4) all the way to fluent adults looking to improve their pronunciation. I also have experience working in two different language schools with children and teenagers! I really enjoy this work and I hope one day I can open my own school.
Teaching Approach
I have been a second language learner in two languages - Spanish and French. This means that I can really "put myself in your shoes" as a language learner. My approach is different depending on what motivates you to learn or improve your English. Of course, as it is a known theory that you learn better when you enjoy the subject, I think it's important for a class to be relaxed and interesting. That being said, I'm not afraid to correct my students when they are saying something wrong!
