About Tutor

Hello! My name is Marla Castro, I’m from Mexico. I studied Applied Linguistics for Bilingual Education at UANL. I have been an Spanish and English teacher in my country for 8 years. It has been a great journey being a teacher, it has given me opportunities to meet new people, travel and do what I love.


Experience

I have worked in the educational field in my country, exploring various school levels , which has given me the opportunity of getting to know different contexts and ways of learning. I currently teach one on one courses of English and Spanish online to adults and teenagers. During my years of experience I developed a set of abilities, those are being able to manage groups at different age levels, organizational skills for a variety of tasks, creating innovative proposals for new projects, leadership, teamwork, assertive communication skills and confidence.

Teaching Approach

In my classes, the student will find a dynamic and easy way to learn Spanish, students should feel comfortable enough to ask whenever they have doubts. At the beginning, I like to discuss the objective the student has with language and create an specific program to reach that objective effectively, I consider it is an assertive way to get closer to the student’s goal. The resources and methodology are adapted to the students needs to be able to move forward on the language learning process.
