I have over three years experience of online teaching, and hundreds of hours with both juniors and adult clients: from beginner to advance levels. Learning a second language should be a positive experience so I believe the best way to learn is to have fun and enjoy it. I try to always include laughter, games and activities in the lessons.
I provide phonetics for beginners and then progress to sentence building depending on their level. Some beginning level sentences from my lessons are "My blue dog." and "My cat." The ages ranges from 5 years old to 12 years old.

Taught Asian students from ages 6-15. I used the teaching materials given but often included material I found online for further understanding. Lessons were group lessons 1-3, 1-on-1 or 1-6. Platforms used were either the school's or through Zoom.
Playing games with the kids, singing songs, and doing pretend scenarios, like pirate ships, space ships, supermarkets, etc. Other activities whether playing with Legos, or dolls, cars. Anything activity that will keep the child interested in the new language.
During my practicum, I have taught children in public schools. Most children have a short time span in learning a language so it is important to provide interesting and engaging lesson and visual aids. Patience and enthusiasm are also very important to keep the students active.

I helped to develop an English camp in Puerto Plata. The summer of 2017 will be our 6th summer operating. It includes four stations: art, songs, story, and games. Not all activities are possible via skype, but many actually are.
